By 2040 the MSP region will gain almost 900,000 people, our economy will expand more than many of our peers, and we’ll be significantly more diverse, according to a regional forecast released by the Metropolitan Council. It’s a thought-provoking report that has consequences for all the sectors and silos. The Council has a well-done summary, and the Star Tribune had good coverage as well.

In other important Metropolitan Council news, they just approved nearly $15.4 million in grants to 17 projects in nine jurisdictions that will help to promote economic development and jobs along transit corridors.
