Legacy Letters win Upper Midwest Emmy Award

It’s official: Legacy Letters won an Emmy! Twin Cities Public Television nominated the Legacy Letters series of 22 short videos into the Public Service Announcement (PSA) Campaign category, and the project won an Upper Midwest Emmy award Saturday, September 26, 2009.

Daniel Pierce Bergin, our TPT producer, was there to receive the award at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis. He and Hlee Lee, associate producer, are responsible for making the artful essays come to life.

Legacy Letters is a project initiated and coordinated by Envision Minnesota (formerly known as 1000 Friends of Minnesota). The short films continue to appear on TPT’s Minnesota Channel in between regular programming. The films were funded by the Opus Philanthropy Group and the Otto Bremer Foundation.
